It’s nap time and the kids pull out their mats in rows to have a quick nap – I don’t like napping with the other kids, but I’m feeling sleepy. Mrs. Collingwood urges me to sleep, says it’s good for growing. I just look around and say “No, I want to play!”

“How many kids do you have of your own?”

“Three”

She lifts her shirt a bit and inches her elastic band pants down and shows me a scar from having babies.

“Is that how all babies come out?”

Mrs. Collingwood looked a bit amused.

“No.”
