The kitten breaks free, runs down the hall and reaches its front paws up on her door where now the kitten is a Gato. Beyond that door is a little tiny happy Spanish girl that wants to play with the Gato. The girl has pressed her body weight against the table to prop herself up, to hold a very expensive carton of milk to pour on her cereal.
“I can do it!” She says concentrating on the milk spout.
A few splashes on the table. The young mother frowns yet loves, excusing the pennies lost, knowing very well she escaped a man that would have back handed the child over a few pennies of imperfection.
The kitten is soft and grey with big green eyes. She slides her paws off the door and paws on the door across the hall. Now the kitten wants to love everyone in the building – I don’t’ leave her out of my sight. People seem to escape all sorts of things.
The little Spanish girl opens the door “Gato’ she glees “Gato.”
Two prideful youngsters wanting to break free, not knowing how much of their needs are met by others. Gato lowers her belly to the floor ready to spring, as if smiling at the girl. She reaches out to pet the Gato who is too agile for her, she frowns yet loves.
She tries to share a piece of her banana with the Gato, kitten just sniffs.
